Crews Assist with Restoration Efforts

First Electric dispatched 21 crewmen, trucks and equipment on Sept. 3 to Washington St. Tammany Electric Cooperative in Franklinton, LA to restore power outages that were caused by Hurricane Ida.
WST Electric initially reported that 98 percent of their members were without power on Aug. 29 when Hurricane Ida hit. Restoration efforts are expected to take several weeks.
First Electric was one of 11 electric cooperatives in Arkansas participating in mutual aid for Louisiana.
