Survey responses indicate high satisfaction with FECC employees

Survey responses indicate high satisfaction with FECC employees

First Electric surveys you – our members – to hear about the quality of service you receive. From the member service representatives to our field personnel, we received almost 3,300 responses throughout the year. I’m proud to share with you that our employees rate very high in all areas of service. The questions range from the professionalism of representative to timeliness of service to employee knowledge — all with scores averaging in the high 90s. I’m not surprised because our employees care about you. They want to provide a high level of service to our member-owners.

First Electric has over 10,000 miles of line, over 200,000 poles and serves over 95,000 accounts in portions of 18 counties in central and southeast Arkansas. If you were to stretch that line out from one point to another — that distance would be further than Little Rock to Johannesburg, South Africa. Which, by the way, is 8,718 miles as the crow flies or by plane! It’s impressive to think a group of 225 employees can plan, repair, maintain and serve that vast service area – all while providing a high level of member satisfaction.

Please join me in tipping our hats to the employees at First Electric. April 13 is Lineworker Appreciation Day. This is a special day to recognize the work our linemen and groundmen do to keep your lights on. They are there to answer the call to restore power – rain, snow, sleet or shine. They respond with commitment and dedication to you – our member. Their willingness to always put safety as the top priority while working to restore your power as quickly as possible is commendable. Ultimately, we want them to return home safely to family and friends.

Your feedback is valuable and helps us to serve you better. If you have questions, you can always call 800-489-7405. On behalf of the board of directors, thank you for your membership in First Electric.

Sincerely,
Rick Love, Chairman
